Squares 💠
For the card game Squares you need a deck of playing cards. Shuffle the cards and build a square as shown below (with the corners open). The bigger the square, the tougher the game gets.
Players take turns guessing 3 times in a row whether the face-down card is “higher or lower” than an adjacent face-up card. If the card lies between two face-up cards, you guess whether the card is “inside or outside” the face-up cards:
Right? Then flip the face-down card face up. This way the run of face-up cards keeps growing.
Wrong? Then you get all adjacent face-up cards as penalty points. Then replace all face-up cards with face-down cards and flip the corner(s) open.
The game ends when the whole square consists of nothing but face-up cards.
