Fritzen (Thirty)

For the dice game Fritzen (Thirty) you need 6 dice. Play in turns, going clockwise. The goal is to roll 30 pips or higher / 10 pips or lower.

Each turn, the player may roll 3 times. On each roll the player may leave one or more dice down. But beware: once you leave a die down, it stays down!

(Option 1) 30 Pips or Higher: Managed it? Then move on to the next round. Failed? Then you get the difference from 30 in penalty points. (Option 2) 10 Pips or Lower: Managed it? Then all other players get 12 penalty points (or penalty points can be doubled). Failed? Then you get the difference from 30 in penalty points.

Roll exactly 30? Then nothing happens and it is the next player’s turn.

Roll 31-36? Then you may roll for how many penalty points you get to hand out. Pick up all the dice and roll once for the unit of your number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Managed it? Then leave the dice showing your number down and keep rolling with the others until a roll fails. For each die showing your number you may hand out the pips in penalty points. Failed? Then nothing happens and it is the next player’s turn.
